The WEPOL Racing team managed by Rico Penzkofer will miss this year’s Bol d’Or race, the squad just confirmed to ewc-mag.com.
WEPOL Racing is looking into a possible return to the Championship in 2020, with a decision about which races to be started still open. It could possibly run the German Speedweek 8 hours of Germany, maybe even the 24 hours of Le Mans in April. A full time Championship comeback would be on the cards for the 2020 Bol d’Or, opening race of the 2020/2021 championship.
WEPOL Racing is the third team to drop out of the FIM Endurance World Championship 2019/2020 after #111 Honda Endurance racing pulled the pin earlier this month. Also the 2017/2018 best Independent team of Mercury Racing is not going to race the new season.
